About Me

Claire B. Crompton RN

I spent my career helping others feel less overwhelmed—now I get to do that with my words.

Whether I was caring for oncology patients or infants in the NICU, each nursing role I have had the privilege of holding has strengthened my dedication to clear communication, compassionate care, and helping people feel more prepared in their most vulnerable moments.

Some of my most rewarding experiences included teaching nursing students or new staff evidence-based practices, guiding families through the unknown, and translating medical terms into something they could actually understand. The challenge of making complicated things feel doable has always been an inspiration to me.

My career pivoted to writing during my first pregnancy. Although I had been a neonatal nurse for years, I had questions that I hadn’t encountered as a nurse. I turned to online health articles for answers and reassurance, and I realized just how impactful good writing can be. And that’s when the idea clicked: I could do this.

Now, through my work in health writing, I get to help companies create content that’s rooted in clinical experience, shaped by empathy, and created to help real people feel seen, informed, and supported.

My path to writing wasn’t typical or linear, but it was genuine and forged by my strong work ethic. Now I can’t imagine doing anything else. If your next projects needs someone who pays attention to details, listens closely, and cares about the people behind the questions, I can help.
